Gold Seal candidates must obtain a minimum of 25 construction-related training and education credits, mandatory and safety training included.
See the Gold Seal application guide for detailed requirements.
Mandatory training: Construction Industry Ethics
A new, consolidated Construction Industry Ethics course is now available. It replaces the requirement for the combined online and in-class/virtual portions of the course. This course is worth three Gold Seal credits.
New applicants are required to take the revised course in either e-learning or virtual/in-class formats. Applicants who took the previous online and in-class/virtual courses will be given the same number of credits and are not required to take the new course. This course is worth three Gold Seal credits. Course substitutions are not accepted.
The Construction Industry Ethics course is offered through CCA’s local construction associations across the country. Please contact your local construction association for their schedule of upcoming courses and to register.

Where to find courses
CCA’s integrated local construction partner associations help administer and promote the Gold Seal Certification Program. They deliver the mandatory Construction Industry Ethics and Construction 101 and beyond courses, in addition to many other courses. Reach out to your local construction association for suggestions on additional courses.
Many applicants obtain additional credits by attending courses, seminars, workshops, and conferences. The Gold Seal Program has accredited such courses, making them automatically eligible for Gold Seal credits.
