CCA cancels annual conference in San Diego due to states of emergency

OTTAWA, March 9, 2020 – The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) announced it has cancelled its upcoming business meetings and annual conference in San Diego, scheduled for March 12 – 18, 2020. Both the state of California and county of San Diego announced states of emergency due to COVID-19.

The Board of Directors were guided by the priority to protect the health and safety of its delegates, employees and the industry.

“The situation continues to evolve rapidly and our Association could not move forward with confidence with the meetings in San Diego. While we are all disappointed that we cannot get together to celebrate the industry as usual, we will explore opportunities to connect virtually. We thank all of our sponsors for their support and our delegates and members for their understanding,” says Mary Van Buren, CCA president.
